Descreet Appearance

Traditional metal braces are noticeable and for some people (especially adults), could be unattractive for their appearance and discomfort while eating. Invisalign braces are almost not noticeable when used, and you hardly notice that someone is using them.

Removable

It is one of the main reasons that Invisalign is a good option. While using traditional dental metal braces eating could be uncomfortable (some food is hard to eat and stuck in the brackets), with Invisalign you forget about these problems, you can remove it when you will eat, and only need to brush your teeth before putting it again.

Easy to clean

With Invisalign is very easy to keep clean both your mouth and the aligners. Simply remove the aligners and brush your teeth as you normally do, and that’s it, you don´t need a special toothbrush or extra time.

More comfortable to wear

Clear aligners are much more smooth and comfortable than braces. Also, they make eating a more comfortable experience and you can continue to enjoy all of your favorite foods.

Safety

Clear aligners reduce the damage normally caused by wearing braces, including gum disease and cavities. This is because our Specialists plan your treatment is using 3D printing technology.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a new innovative type of orthodontic treatment. These invisible, comfortable, and removable types of braces were released for public use in 1997. We will provide you with a set of trays that will adjust and correct the alignment of your teeth. Invisalign has a high success rate when used as instructed.

What is the difference between Invisalign and normal braces?

The two biggest differences between normal braces and Invisalign is the appearance and follow-up appointments. Invisalign is a tray made of a clear BPA-free plastic therefore not very noticeable, compared to the normal metal or ceramic braces where the nodules are quite visible. The second one is that in Invisalign treatment you don’t need to go to regular follow-up appointments. With traditional braces, you would need to return to your dentists every 6 – 8 weeks for adjustments.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign works by moving your teeth with a set of aligners. An impression and mold are made before your treatment begins. With the help of our experienced orthodontists and modifying the digital model to the desired result a set of aligners are made per tray that will systematically move the teeth to their desired position. Depending on the severity of the case will depend on the number of aligners that are made and needed.

How do I know if I can have Invisalign braces?

Invisalign is a wonderful treatment for anyone with less severe orthodontic concerns.

Here are a few examples of a good candidate for Invisalign:

  • Mild underbites (bottom row of teeth reach up over the top row)
  • Mild overbites (top row of teeth reach down over the bottom row)
  • Crossbites (upper teeth on sides of mouth overlap lower row of teeth or vice versa)
  • Open bites
  • Excessive overjet’s (central tooth overlap)
  • Mildly crooked teeth
  • Overcrowding of teeth
  • Protruding teeth
  • Serious malocclusion (imperfect positioning of teeth when mouth closed)
  • Wide gaps in teeth

Dentists don’t recommend Invisalign in cases of an extreme over or underbite. These extreme cases usually need headgear. In addition, this condition may indicate a problem in the position of the jaw and not just of the teeth.

How long will I need to be in Cancun?

Our Dental experts will take, check, and send the impressions to Invisalign. We need a minimum stay of 5 days to make sure Invisalign has all the necessary information to go ahead and produce your trays. Once they are ready we will send them to your home and you can begin your orthodontic treatment.

What are the benefits of Invisalign treatment?

There are many benefits to an Invisalign treatment, to name a few:

  • They are flexible therefore resulting in less irritation that is known to be caused by traditional braces such as cutting the skin on your inner cheek or lip area.
  • As they are clear it adds to the self-confidence that most folks experience when having metal braces.
  • Most foods can be enjoyed due to the fact that the trays are removed while eating and then replaced when finished.
  • You do not have to have monthly adjustments.
Will I need to return to Cancun during treatment?

We recommend returning at least halfway through your treatment to make sure the alignments and adjustments are working successfully.

How do I clean the trays?

Oral hygiene is extremely important during your treatment making sure no food particles are trapped. Every morning and evening remove your trays and clean both your teeth and trays thoroughly. Normal dental brushing and flossing are essential before placing the trays back to ensure your natural teeth and gums are clean and healthy.

The best way to ensure your Invisalign trays are as clean as possible is by soaking them in either Invisalign cleaning crystals or denture cleaning. After soaking, you will need an extra toothbrush (one that you don’t use for brushing your teeth) to clean off any food particles or a lingering plaque from the trays; rinse them very well and place them back in your mouth.

How do I make an appointment?

To book an appointment all we would need is your travel information and we will organize the rest for you. Simply call our toll-free number 1 888 231 8041 to schedule an evaluation. Our Dental Coordinators will be more than happy to assist you.
