The All on 4: A Great Option for your Full Mouth Restoration

Return with a new smile after your All on 4 Dental Implants at Cancun Dental Specialists, Mexico. This treatment consists of the placement of four angled Implants and an Implant bar/bridge for the restoration of upper and lower teeth, being a patented Dental Implant Technique by Nobel Biocare.

This treatment is a great option for the Full Mouth and Full Arch Restorations. In both cases, we place four dental implants, and in others, more implants may be recommendable depending on the quality of your bone.

If you have been with untreated infections, wearing dentures for a long time, extensive periodontal disease, or missing teeth, you might have low bone quality. You must call our clinic and send us X-Rays to diagnose your case.

All-On 4 Review in Mexico

An 8-Year follow-up to An All-On 4 patient

Mr. Thomas May started his journey to get a new smile over 8 years ago with our dental clinic, and since then, he visits us yearly to get deep cleaning on his full-mouth dental implants. Discover what he has to say about his experience over the years.

All-On 4 vs. All-On 6 in Mexico A Direct Comparison

All-On 4 + Zirconia Prettau Bridge

All-on 4 Dental implants are recommended for patients with low bone density levels, caused by the prolonged absence of teeth.

All-On 6 + Zirconia Prettau Bridge

All-on 6 dental implants are recommended only for patients in which 4 dental implants may not be enough to achieve the full-arch restoration.

Not Sure About What You Need?

Teeth in a Day – Same Day Teeth

All on 4 Dental Implants Cost Mexico

The so-called “Immediate Load”, “Teeth in a Day” or “Same Day Teeth” will get you a Temporary Denture or PMMA Bridge during the All on 4´s Healing Period. In the Bridge solution, the Dentist will fix it onto the implant area right after the surgery or days after it.

We would need 14 days to be able to do this or a minimum of seven days for the Surgical Phase (1st phase) of the treatment. If you come for an extended period of time we can manufacture a PMMA Bridge Restoration with a cost of  $1,800 USD or a Diamond Acrylic Denture with a cost of  $580 USD.

After that, you will need to come back (when implants are integrated and soft tissue healed), for the Final Restoration. This trip is six months after the Surgical Phase.

All On 4 Restorative Materials Explanation

We are one of the Only Facilities in Mexico to offer many Restorative Options for your All on 4. Each is meant for different types of Patients or Treatment Options. The Price does not reflect the Quality, Fixed Hybrid is the Traditional Treatment Option, they were the first brought out to the market, great for people with soft bite, low budget, opposing denture. They are the least recommended options. Prettau Zirconia Bridge, Nano Ceramic Hybrids, and Pekkton LiSi Bridge are Top of the Line Restorations.

Fixed Hybrid

Fixed Hybrid

Materials: The Fixed Hybrid Dentures are different from other fixed dentures as there is a titanium bar that runs throughout the structure of the restoration giving it better strength and stability. The titanium bar is milled using CAD/CAM technology to guarantee a precise fit over the patient’s implants.

Advantages: Look and Feels Natural, Improved chewing, Easy maintenance, No restrictions on your diet, Improved appearance and self- confidence.

Disadvantages: One disadvantage of Fixed Hybrid Dentures is that a small amount of food or bacteria can lodge its way beneath the dentures, causing some discomfort.

Prettau Bridge Zirconia Superstructure

Prettau Bridge Zirconia Superstructure

Materials: Zirconia is the result of a chemical process: the basis is zirconia sand, partially stabilized with yttrium and made into Zirconia blanks through a mechanical process. Among the dental ceramics available, zirconium oxide is without any doubt the material with the highest flexural and tensile strength. Ceramic chipping and abrasion to the antagonist are being avoided.

Advantages: Prettau zirconia has a translucent quality like natural teeth, is much more stable and actually form a supporting structure that minimizes any movement and stress on the implants, is more comfortable than other dental implant supported solutions, offers a high compatibility with the human body, is stronger and much more durable than acrylic.

Nano-Ceramic TriLor Hybrid

Nano-Ceramic TriLor Hybrid

Materials: Nano Ceramic is the most flexible ceramic available on the market and the only ceramic that actually flexes in the mouth. This flex makes Nano Ceramic Hybrid Denture durable and comfotable for the patient.

Advantages: Feels like Natural Teeth, durable, light weight, shock absorbing, flexes under stress, stain resistant, repairable chairside, adjustable chairside. Nano Ceramic are 60% lighter than zirconia and 6 times stronger than acrylic dentures.

Pekkton LiSi Thimble Hybrid Bridge

Pekkton LiSi Thimble Hybrid Bridge

Materials: The PEKK material used for Pekkton originates from the PAEK (PolyArylEtherKetone) materials family. Highperformance polymers have found their way into orthopaedics and traumatology since the 1980s.

Advantages: Natural wearing experience, resembles the properties of natural bone, natural aesthetics, biocompatible, no metallic taste, high stability at low weight, suitable for implant-supported restorations.

Disadvantages: One disadvantage of this high-performance polymer in prosthetic dentistry is the difficulty of achieving adequate bond strength to composite resin materials owing to its low surface energy and resistance to surface modification by chemical treatment.

  • Vitamin A – twice a day: 8000 to 10,000 units (this has well-documented beneficial effects on surgical healing and also will help your immune system).

Post-Op Instructions After The Procedure In Cancun

Your oral hygiene
Standards of good oral hygiene are critical for the success and functionality of the implants and restoration. The best way to prevent infection and ensure healing is to keep your mouth clean.

Clean your mouth thoroughly after each meal beginning the day after surgery. Use a soft bristle toothbrush and toothpaste after meals and at bedtime. The use of a dental Waterpik is highly recommended to irrigate underneath the denture to flush out debris.
About Bleeding
After a dental implant surgery is normally pink or blood-tinged saliva for two or three days and does not indicate any problem, even minimal bleeding is expected. In this case, the best way to stop it, is by placing a damp piece of gauze and softly bite for 30 minutes while rest keeping your head elevated. In case the bleeding continues, repeat the gauze step for an additional 30 minutes.

The suture material may last from two to three weeks, and you should not pull or cut the sutures by yourself.
Swelling
After any surgery, swelling is a normal reaction of the body and the first step to healing. In the beginning, swelling will not become visible until 24 hours after your dental implant surgery, and couldn’t reach its peak for two or three days. After this period, the swelling decreases but may persist from seven to 10 days.

You can minimize swelling applying immediate ice packs to the outside of the face for 20 minutes on, and then 20 minutes off while awake for the first 24 hours.
In case of pain
First, remember that a specialist must prescribe all medications and you should not exceed the recommended dosage. Because most oral surgery is followed by some amount of discomfort, the surgeon may suggest taking any anti-inflammatory, non-steroidal medication (only if YOU ARE NOT ALLERGIC to it), before to the local anesthetic wearing off.

In case of intense pain, you should require calm pain medication under prescription, which will cause you to feel drowsy, so you shall not operate any mechanical machinery or drive while taking the prescription. About the post-operative antibiotics, they must be taken as directed and the entire course of the prescription.

For the first weeks after your dental implant surgery, you could also be prescribed an antibacterial mouth rinse and must be used two times a day.

Your diet
We suggest to start with liquids, after a general anesthetic or conscious IV sedation, and must avoid hot meals or hot liquids while numb. The limited food intake that is required for the first days could be compensated by increasing the fluid intake, with high protein shakes to replace meal supplements.

For the first six weeks you must follow a soft chew diet, so if you cannot cut easily any food, please avoid eating it.

Activity
After your dental implant surgery: 48 hours

For the first 48 hours after your dental implant surgery, you must rest and relax without any physical activity. After these 48 hours, you should resume activity as tolerated.

  • Sore throats and pain when swallowing are not uncommon. The muscles get swollen and the normal act of swallowing can become painful. This will subside in 2 to 3 days.

  • Stiffness of the jaw muscles may cause difficulty in opening your mouth for a few days. Do not force your mouth open. Massage the muscles and apply moist heat.

  • With upper jaw implant treatment, you may develop bleeding from the nose. This is usually a temporary finding and will not persist past 2 to 3 days. Avoid blowing your nose for several days.

Patient Reviews

All on 4 Treatment Alternatives

All On 6 / All On 8

When we can place more dental implants, All On 6 or All On 8 treatments might be ideal for the patient. If the bone permits two more dental implants, we highly recommend an All On 6 procedure to our patients.

3 on 6 Dental Implants

3 on 6 dental implants are a procedure used to replace all of the teeth on the upper or lower arches of the mouth. This procedure includes placing six implants on an arch of the mouth with three bridges attached directly to those implants.

Zygomatic Dental Implants

Zygomatic dental implants are implants that are much longer than conventional implants (40 mm – 50 mm), and are placed in the dense Zygoma bone or otherwise known as the cheekbone.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini dental implants in Mexico are a great option if you are not a candidate for normal implants. It is also a great option for our Snap-on Dentures treatment.
